about

This collection represents the SECOND release of 2013 in the "12in12x12" series. The series was created by conceptual artist Jim Mendola of Lockport,New York. The participants all will create 12 new works a month for each month in 2013. (some even doing their entire output in a single 12 hour session.)

Instagon, in general, is a project of collaboration...and so this series will probably be riddled with interesting collaborations between Lob and various artists and friends.

THESE COLLECTIONS ARE BETTER HEARD IN HEADPHONES.

THIS volume is mostly (but not entirely) made up of pieces done at home by Lob using looping and multi-tracking tools using sound samples from past Instagon happenings, found items, and random recorded whims...also he spent some rare time recording with his Mandolin this month and so it appears on multiple tracks.

Over 700 sessions.. & nearly as many different players, Instagon continues to combine musical notions & chaos theory into something that has become the most unique band project ever. ... more
