about

This is the last of 3 tracks from session #197, July 17, 1999 from Kona Lanes' Rockin' Bowl, Costa Mesa, CA.
Recorded and re-mastered by Lob for TIF

This song is an original Instagon song done by Dan Kaufman and Lob. Dan was the one that came up with this weird looping sound from one of his effects pedals, and Lob found a groove and away it went. For awhile during this time period, Cosmic Crunch was a standard regular song played, if Dan performed with Instagon. (It was also done a couple of times with Thee Belatrix Trio)

This recording happened near the end of the 1st set of this show, and you can really feel the crunchiness of it. Dennis Owens and his Moog ad some really great textures to this one as well.
