about

This 3rd track of 4 from session #182 is something special.

"Orgone Collector" has become a regular standard song in the Instagon arsenal. It was recorded in the studio in 2007 and released on the "Deamon Rock" CD. Through its evolution it has become one of the really recognizable Instagon riffs. This recording is the very first time this song was played. This recording documents the song as it was created, and amazingly enough, it has not changed much at all since this recording! Brian Comerford played with Instagon for the first time during this session, he came from the Grateful Dead family of friends in Orange County,CA. and so I wanted to play a riff that was sorta bouncy and "jam band" like.. "Orgone Collector" is the riff that came out of me that night and it continues to be one of the best riffs Instagon has to play with.

Recorded March 16, 1999 at Rhino Room, Huntington Beach, CA on DAT by Dav Huddleston.
Mixed and Re-mastered by Lob for TIF.
