This track is from session #205, November 26, 1999 at The Hub, Fullerton, CA.
It was recorded directly to cassette in mono, &
Digitally re-mastered to stereo by Lob

this track appeared on the original cassette release of "SPACE 1999", but was removed when it was issued on CDR in 2001 due to time constraints.

This show was a fun outdoors show, the day after Thanksgiving.. it was well attended, lots of fun, & filled with a great selection of cover tunes. These recordings come from the end of the 2nd Set. The 1st half of this set was not recorded at all.

This song is in no way a SPACE song.. it is a cover of a song by L.A. punk rock legends THE GERMS called "Shut Down" . Instagon has been playing this since its earliest shows. This version features rare vocals .. and not by Lob..but by the drummer Cary Pealer. This is one of those magickal moments when you are really happy that the tape deck is rolling. You will see what we mean.

This was actually a really large ensemble for the "band" type progression that the Deamon was undertaking in the year 1999. Mike Morris from THE THINGZ makes a rare Instagon appearance in this session, as well as Fullerton local songwriting hero of the time ERIK REZ helping out with some percussion and rhythms.
